Roadway Improvements to Washington Avenue and Various Roads

The Borough of Avon-by-the-Sea, located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, is soliciting sealed bids for the FY2022 NJDOT Municipal Aid Program Roadway Improvements to Washington Avenue and Various Roads. This significant public works project encompasses a comprehensive scope of work designed to enhance local infrastructure. Key components of the project include essential stormwater inlet repairs, replacement of concrete curb and gutter, new sidewalk installations, extensive roadway pavement milling and paving, complete roadway reconstruction, infrared pavement repair for targeted areas, installation of new traffic striping, and general site restoration. All specified work within this contract is mandated to be completed within forty-five (45) calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, ensuring a timely upgrade to critical municipal roadways and associated infrastructure. Bidders can obtain a copy of these documents upon payment of a non-refundable seventy-five dollar ($75.00) fee, payable to "T&M Associates," to cover reproduction costs. Sealed bid packets must be submitted by October 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM prevailing time, to Kerry McGuigan at 301 Main Street, Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey 07717. Each bid packet must be enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bidder's name and address, as well as the project name, and addressed to Kerry McGuigan. A critical submission requirement is a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to conduct business in New Jersey, accompanied by either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check, drawn to the order of "Borough of Avon-by-the-Sea," for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, capped at $20,000.00. The successful bidder will additionally be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for the full contract amount.
