Preliminary Engineering and Design for Pedestrian Bridge over Route 440

The City of Bayonne is actively seeking consultant services for the Preliminary Engineering and Design of a crucial Pedestrian Bridge over New Jersey State Highway Route 440. This vital infrastructure project aims to connect the 34th Street Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit (HBLRT) station with The Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor (PABH). Firms interested in this opportunity must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) in specific disciplines, including B-1 Bridge Design – Non Movable Structures (Level C), T-7 Transportation Planning, T-1 Traffic Engineering, S-1 Surveying (Level A), G-2 Geotechnical Design, and I-1 Bridge Inspection-Simple Bridges (Level A). Evidence of these prequalifications must accompany the proposal. While the prime consultant is expected to meet B-1, T-7, and I-1 requirements, subconsultants can fulfill categories T-1, S-1, and G-2. Mandatory documentation includes a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate (BRC), a Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran form, and a Certification of Non-Involvement in Prohibited Activities in Russia or Belarus.
