PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES

The City of Bayonne, New Jersey, is soliciting Request for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQ/RFP) for comprehensive Professional Architectural Services. This critical municipal procurement seeks a qualified Architectural Firm to provide a full spectrum of services for construction projects, specifically focusing on the development of government buildings. The extensive scope of work includes programming, design, detailed cost estimation, thorough construction document preparation, management of the bidding process, meticulous evaluation of bids, robust construction administration, final inspections, and project acceptance. Additionally, the selected firm will be responsible for site analysis and infrastructure assessment, along with providing mechanical, plumbing, civil, and electrical engineering expertise, either directly or through qualified consultants. The anticipated contract term is for a period not exceeding one year, commencing on January 1, 2026, and concluding on December 31, 2026. Prospective architectural firms must demonstrate exceptional qualifications and adhere to stringent experience requirements. The primary representative assigned to the City of Bayonne project must be a New Jersey licensed architect with a minimum of five years of licensure and experience, holding sufficient standing as a partner within their firm to leverage its full resources. This individual must possess at least five years of experience providing architectural services to New Jersey municipalities and/or non-profit affordable housing developers, alongside a profound knowledge of the NJ Uniform Construction Code (N.J.A.C. 5:23-1 et seq.) and Residential Site Improvement Standards (N.J.A.C. 5:21-1 et seq.). Required insurance coverages include Worker’s Compensation, General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate), Automotive Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate), and Professional Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence, claims-based), with the City of Bayonne named as an additional insured. All sealed responses, comprising one original and three copies, must be delivered to the City of Bayonne Law Department, Room 15, 630 Avenue C, Bayonne, New Jersey 07002.
