CROSSROADS PARK

The Township of Bedminster, located in Somerset County, New Jersey, is soliciting sealed bids for the comprehensive Crossroads Park construction project on Lot 14, Block 57. The extensive scope of work includes the installation of a scored concrete patio, sitting walls, piers, and accessible walk paths, site sign posts, and a decorative pergola. Further infrastructure improvements encompass a paved drive access and parking area with striping, the creation of a stormwater raingarden, and the full installation of electrical service and lighting. The project also mandates signage, bicycle racks, detectable warning surfaces, and all other necessary materials and labor to complete the park. Key quantities include 850 S.Y. of 6” Dense Graded Aggregate Base Course, 150 Ton of 2” Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course, 276 Ton of 4” Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64 Base Course, 250 S.Y. of 5” Scored Concrete Patio, and 1 Unit Pergola (Installed). Additionally, two alternative bids are requested for the removal and replacement of existing sidewalks with either 7 ft. wide minimum concrete (Alternate Bid 1) or brick paver (Alternate Bid 2) sidewalks, including associated detectable warning surfaces. Prospective contractors are required to demonstrate compliance with New Jersey statutory provisions, including N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, and N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 concerning the disclosure of partners and stockholders for all corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. The successful bidder must also adhere to all prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. Plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available for public inspection at Boswell Inc., 180 Main Street, Chester, New Jersey 07930, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, starting February 5, 2026. A digital copy on a USB flash drive can be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $10.00, with printed copies available at applicable printing fees. Bids must be submitted on the prescribed forms, accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit and an ownership statement compliance form. A mandatory bid security, consisting of a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond, not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount and not exceeding $20,000.00, must be made payable to the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to provide a 100% performance and payment bond and furnish all required policies or Certificates of Insurance. Sealed bids will be received by the Township of Bedminster at 1 Miller Lane, Municipal Building, Bedminster, NJ 07921, until February 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, at which point they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall remain irrevocable for a period of sixty (60) days. The project is expected to be completed within ninety (90) calendar days of notice to proceed, with all construction concluded by June 27, 2026.
