Draft Rfp for No Ave Redevelopment

The Township of Cranford is seeking proposals from developers for the acquisition and redevelopment of a portion of the North + Springfield Redevelopment Area, which encompasses approximately 2 acres of primarily Township-owned properties in Downtown Cranford. This area consists of Block 193, Lots 6.01, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14. The overall goal is to revitalize the downtown area and comply with the Township's affordable housing obligations. Interested parties should become familiar with the Redevelopment Area and Township, and submit a response detailing a comprehensive redevelopment strategy. The implementation of the plan requires the purchase of both Township and privately-owned properties at fair market value. The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM. A pre-submission conference is scheduled for May 3, 2023, and registration is required by May 1, 2023. Each submission must include a $2,500 non-refundable fee to cover the administrative cost, unless the submission is withdrawn before the due date. Proposals should follow the requirements of the Plan while incorporating the design criteria of the Connolly & Hickey Vision Plan.
