February 2024 Open Space & Recreation Plan Update

The Township of East Hanover is updating its Open Space and Recreation Plan to maintain eligibility for state funding and address the strain on existing recreation facilities due to an increase in new housing units. The town seeks to increase the number of fields and expand its parks to accommodate the growing population. East Hanover has preserved land for recreation and natural resource protection since 1995, and has added 407 acres to its Recreation and Open Space Inventory since 2001.
