Eviction Prevention

This document outlines the Hudson County CARES II Eviction Prevention program, which provides assistance to Hudson County residents facing eviction and unable to pay rent due to financial hardship directly or indirectly related to COVID-19. To be eligible, applicants must have received a summons for eviction or notice to quit from their landlord and meet specific income guidelines based on household size. Applications can be submitted electronically via HudsonCounty.smapply.io, starting February 15, 2021. In-person assistance is available at the Hudson County Dept. of Housing and Community Reintegration from February 16, 2021, through March 26, 2021. Required documents include a copy of the lease, picture ID, eviction documentation, and income documentation. Phone appointments are also available.
