CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF DIGITAL SIGNS

The City of East Orange is actively seeking qualified contractors for the "Construction and Installation of Digital Signs" project, a comprehensive endeavor involving the furnishing and installation of two state-of-the-art double-sided digital display signs. These signs, specified to meet GALAXY GT6x 10 MM PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS, are designated for prominent locations: City Hall Plaza and the Health Department building on New Street. The extensive scope of work encompasses constructors' general conditions, including building permit document preparation and fees, site maintenance and security, police for traffic control, required bonds, and mobilization. Furthermore, the project mandates general site demolition and disposal of materials, the complete furnishing and installation of both double-face display signs with all necessary utility connections for operational electronic signs, and the design, construction, and installation of robust masonry support structures complete with footing/foundation, along with the restoration of all disturbed areas. Additionally, the project includes the furnishing and installation of twelve bollards with concrete footings at specified locations. This Addendum #2 clarifies several technical and logistical aspects derived from a Pre-proposal Conference held on November 18, 2020. Key specifications for the digital signs include a 10 MM pixel configuration utilizing SMD technology (no substitutes allowed), 108x216 resolution for the 10mm display, and 4G communication with an indicated lifetime data plan. A 10-year parts warranty is required for the displays. The City of East Orange confirms it will manage shrub removal at the North Arlington sign location and facilitate electrical connections as needed, including running power to this site.
