VARIOUS PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF EAST ORANGE

The City of East Orange is actively seeking qualifications for various professional legal services through a Re-RFQ process. This comprehensive solicitation encompasses critical legal support roles, including Special Labor Counsel Services, Litigation/Defense Counsel Services, Workers’ Compensation Counsel Services, Special Conflict Counsel Services, and Bankruptcy Attorney services. The project aims to secure highly competent legal professionals to provide essential advisory, representation, and litigation support across the municipality's diverse needs, ensuring legal compliance, effective risk management, and robust defense against claims related to labor relations, general litigation, worker's compensation, conflicts of interest, and bankruptcy proceedings. Prospective contractors for these professional legal services must demonstrate full compliance with New Jersey statutes and regulations, specifically N.J.S.A. 10:5-33 et seq. (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. (Contract Compliance and Equal Employment Opportunities in Public Contract), and N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (Disclosure of Ownership). Qualified legal professionals with proven experience in municipal law, labor law, litigation, workers' compensation, and bankruptcy are encouraged to submit their qualifications. Importantly, any firm or individual that already submitted qualifications for the previous RFQ issued in November 2025 is not required to reapply for this current solicitation. All Request for Qualifications (RFQs) must be submitted electronically via the designated Procurement Portal addresses provided for each professional service. Only electronic proposals will be accepted by the City of East Orange. The absolute deadline for submission is THURSDAY, APRIL 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., prevailing local time. Proposers are advised that qualifications cannot be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for sixty (60) days following the submission deadline.
