EAST ORANGE CCTV VIDEO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (VMS)

The City of East Orange is actively seeking qualified contractors for a comprehensive CCTV Video Management System (VMS), representing a critical enhancement to municipal security infrastructure. This project demands a turnkey solution encompassing the full lifecycle from design and supply to installation, implementation, training, user manual provision, and a robust 36-month warranty covering all hardware, software, materials, and support services. The integrated video surveillance system will be strategically deployed across key city facilities, specifically East Orange City Hall, the East Orange Library, and the East Orange Police Department, with all surveillance feeds centralized at the Police Department's VMS. The extensive scope of work requires the successful bidder to expertly replace existing cameras, install new interior and exterior surveillance units, provide advanced 4MP recorders, establish secure network connectivity, and configure state-of-the-art monitoring workstations. All necessary labor, specialized equipment, cabling, wiring, piping, connectors, system programming, and related infrastructure must adhere to stringent quality and standard norms. Prospective bidders must meet rigorous qualification criteria, including submitting a mandatory Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond, amounting to 10% of the total bid (not exceeding $20,000), payable to the City of East Orange. A crucial requirement is the submission of a Consent of Surety from a New Jersey-authorized company, guaranteeing a Performance Bond for 100% of the bid value upon contract award.
