The City of East Orange, New Jersey, Division of Procurement, is soliciting bids for the purchase of one (1) new 2020 or newer Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD 4-door Premier, or an equivalent vehicle. This invitation to bid (ITB) seeks to secure a specific, high-specification utility vehicle for municipal use, outlining detailed requirements for the vehicle's make, model, year, and specific features. The scope of work mandates the provision of a vehicle equipped with all standard manufacturer features, including a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine, 6-speed automatic transmission, automatic full-time four-wheel drive, advanced security systems, heavy-duty battery and alternator, 3.08 axle ratio, touring ride suspension, 22-inch wheels with 285/45R 22 all-season tires, 4-wheel disc brakes, Class IV trailer package, specific heated power mirrors, comprehensive lighting, solar-tinted windows, chrome bumpers, power sunroof, leather-appointed front bucket seats, 60/40 split-folding second and third-row seats, black interior and exterior colors, and an advanced audio and entertainment system. Additionally, the successful bidder must ensure all aftermarket electrical equipment has dedicated circuit breaker-controlled wiring circuits, is wired to shut off with the ignition, and provide electrical schematic drawings for approval. All recall notices must be corrected prior to delivery, and the vehicle must be supplied with at least a half-tank of fuel, two sets of keys, and a valid New Jersey DMV new vehicle inspection sticker. Delivery is required to the City of East Orange Department of Police at 15 South Munn Ave., East Orange, NJ 07018, at no extra charge. Prospective contractors must demonstrate a strong capability to meet the exact vehicle specifications, providing a 2020 or newer Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD 4-door Premier or an approved equivalent. Required documentation includes a Proposal Guarantee (Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier’s Check for 10% of the bid, not exceeding $20,000), a Consent of Surety guaranteeing a Performance Bond for 100% of the bid, a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Affirmative Action Evidence (e.g., valid Federal approval letter, Certificate of Employee Information Report, or Form AA302), a Business Registration Certificate (BRC) from the New Jersey Division of Revenue, a Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran form, and a Statement of Ownership listing all stockholders or partners owning 10% or more interest.
