For armed security guards, additional stringent qualifications are necessary, including certification in firearms use by the Police Training Commission of New Jersey, successful completion of a handgun safety course, documented semi-annual qualification, and a current, valid New Jersey firearm permit. The successful vendor must also operate a stationary 24-hour manned command dispatch center, provide comprehensive training, ensure all personnel are fluent in English, and are physically capable of performing demanding security duties.
