The following Meeting Notice is provided pursuant to the requirements of the
New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act.
BOROUGH OF ENGLISHTOWN
Meeting Notice
Pursuant to the requirements of New Jersey’s Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq.,
notice is hereby given that the Borough of Englishtown Mayor and Unified Planning and Zoning
Board will hold a special meeting on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 6:30 pm. The agenda to the
extent known at this time is potential action pursuant to the requirements of the Fourth Round
Affordable Housing Law, P.L. 2024, c2, as well as the usual and customary business of the
Mayor and Unified Planning and Zoning Board. Formal action will be taken.
The regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 6:30 pm has been cancelled.
PUBLIC HEARING
BOROUGH OF ENGLISHTOWN UNIFIED PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD USE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF THE BOROUGH’S
FOURTH ROUND HOUSING ELEMENT AND FAIR SHARE PLAN
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-13 of the Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL),
Borough of Englishtown Unified Planning and Zoning Board will conduct a public hearing at 6:30p.m. on
June 26, 2025 at the Borough of Englishtown Municipal Building located at 15 Main Street, Englishtown,
N.J. 07726 to hear public comment on the adoption of the Township’s Fourth Round Housing Element
and Fair Share Plan, which will amend the Borough’s Master Plan. After public comments, the Unified
Planning and Zoning Board shall consider adoption of the Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share
Plan by way of resolution.
The proposed Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan was prepared in accordance with
N.J.S.A. 40:55D-28(b)(3) of the MLUL and the mandatory requirements of a Housing Element under the
recently amended New Jersey Fair Housing (“COAH”) and the Administrative Office of the Courts
Directive #14-24.
A copy of the proposed Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan of the Borough’s Master
Plan, and any other relevant documents, are on file for public inspection in the Borough of Englishtown’s
Municipal Building, 15 Main Street, Englishtown, N.J. 07726 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00
p.m. Monday through Friday. Any party interested in commenting on the Fourth Round Housing Element
and Fair Share Plan may do so at the public hearing or may submit written comments to the Unified
Planning and Zoning Board prior to the public hearing date.
