The Borough of Fair Lawn is creating a new Chapter 227 of the Borough Code, titled "Tree Care Service Contractors." This ordinance requires individuals and entities offering tree care services within the Borough to register annually with the Borough Clerk’s Office. Registration requirements include providing documentation of registration with the State of New Jersey, evidence of general liability insurance ($1 million minimum) and workers' compensation insurance, and payment of annual fees. The ordinance was adopted on March 26, 2024.
