The Borough of Fanwood, located in Union County, State of New Jersey, is soliciting proposals from New Jersey licensed insurance producers for General Insurance Broker and Risk Management Consultant services. This engagement encompasses acting as Broker of Record and Risk Management Consultant for the Borough's comprehensive property and casualty insurance program. The contract period is set for January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, providing a full calendar year of coverage and consultancy. Services will be compensated via a flat annual fee, with a strict requirement for all insurer and fund compensation to be fully disclosed and subsequently credited back to the Borough. This procurement is classified as an extraordinary unspecifiable service, exempt from traditional public bidding under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a)(ii) and N.J.A.C. 5:34-2.3, and will be awarded through a fair and open process as per N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq. Prospective contractors must hold a valid New Jersey insurance producer license and demonstrate extensive experience in serving as an insurance broker and risk management consultant, particularly within a municipal context.
