BOROUGH OF FLORHAM PARK 
 
Garage sales in Florham Park require a  “Garage Sale License” – Florham Park 
Ordinance # 13-10, Adopted by the Borough Council on October 17, 2013 
PERMITS AND FEES: 
1. A license shall be obtained from the Borough Clerk’s office at least one week prior 
to the date of the Garage Sale. 
2. The fee for all Garage Sale Licenses is $5.00. 
 
DATES AND DURATION OF GARAGE SALES: 
1.  Only two (2) liceneses shall be issued to any one residence within a twelve (12) 
month period.   
2. Garage Sale Licences shall be issued for no more than three (3) consecutive days.  
The time and date cannot be changed by the applicant without contacting the 
Borough Clerk’s Office for a new permit. 
3. Garage sales shall be conducted only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., 
Thursday thru Saturday and 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Sunday. 
 
TEMPORARY SIGN REGULATIONS: 
3. Signs should be no larger than two feet by two feet (2’ x 2’)  
4. No more than three (3) signs may be posted off of the property where 
the sale is to be held. 
5. Signs are not permitted to be attached to trees utility poles or traffic 
regulation signs or on Borough property. 
6. Signs shall not be posted more than four (4) days prior to the date of the sale and 
must be removed within 24 hours of the end of the sale.
