NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township Purchasing Agent for
the Township of Freehold, County of Monmouth, State of New Jersey on THURSDAY,
FEBRUARY 9, 2023 AT 10:00 AM local prevailing time at the Municipal Building, 1
Municipal Plaza, Freehold, New Jersey at which time and place bids will be opened and read in
public for the following bid:
2023 MICHAEL J. TIGHE PARK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (Splash Pad, Walkways,
Pickleball Courts) which includes but is not limited to SPLASH PAD IMPROVEMENTS:
inclusive of masonry block retaining walls, fencing, splash pad resurfacing, concrete slab
surrounds, re-bonding/grounding of all fixtures and appurtenances within the splash pad
area and providing a final bonding and testing certification; WALKWAY
IMPROVEMENTS: inclusive of removal and replacement of existing concrete paver
walkways with concrete slabs and concrete walking paths, a new concrete pavilion slab,
concrete curbing, a masonry block seating wall, roof drains and protection bollards; and
finally PICKLEBALL COURTS inclusive of surface crack repairs, resurfacing of existing
pavement, fencing, three (3) striped and re-surfaced pickleball courts with permanent net
post and net post footings, concrete curbing and concrete sidewalk installation. All
proposed work is located a Michael J. Tighe Park at 65 Georgia Road, Freehold Township,
New Jersey 07728.
A pre-bid walk through meeting will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11:00 am
local prevailing time. The meeting will be held at the Michael J. Tighe Park Administration
Building at 65 Georgia Road, Freehold Township, New Jersey 07728.
Specifications and other bid information may be obtained at the office of the Freehold Township
Purchasing Agent, One Municipal Plaza, Freehold, N.J., during regular business hours 8:30 am –
4:30 pm. for a non-refundable fee of $116.00 will be required for each set of plans and
specifications. Bids must be made on the proposal forms included with the bid specification, be
enclosed in a sealed package bearing the name and address of the bidder and “Bid Title, Name and
Contract” on the outside, addressed to the Purchasing Agent at the address above.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L.1975, c.127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et
seq.), N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.; N.J.S.A. 19:44-20.5 et seq. The bid award will be made to the
lowest possible bidder in accordance with applicable law.
