2026 RFQ for Professional Services - Planning and Zoning Board Attorney and Redevelopment Attorney

The Borough of Garwood is seeking Qualification Statements from interested persons and/or firms for the provision of professional legal services for the 2026 year. The Borough is soliciting responses for two distinct positions: Planning/Zoning Board Attorney and Redevelopment Attorney. Respondents must demonstrate expertise and capabilities in the specific services for which they are submitting a response. Responses must be received by the Borough Clerk at 403 South Avenue, Garwood, New Jersey 07027, no later than December 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time. The contract term will be from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026. The RFQ documents can be obtained from the Borough Clerk or downloaded from the Borough’s website. Submissions must include an original and one copy, along with a digital copy on a flash drive. All submissions must be clearly marked as "Confidential" and indicate the specific legal service for which the response is being submitted. Respondents must also comply with Affirmative Action Program, Equal Employment Opportunity requirements. Minimum qualifications include being a licensed New Jersey Attorney in Good Standing, with a minimum of five (5) years of substantial experience in the applicable specialty, and having no record of disciplinary sanctions or legal malpractice judgments in the last seven (7) years. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all responses, waive informalities, and make an award or take any other action as may be in the best interest of the Borough.
