Haddon Heights Summer Youth Camp Program

The Borough of Haddon Heights, New Jersey, issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Haddon Heights Summer Youth Camp Program, seeking qualified firms to serve as the administrator and operator for the 2020 summer session. This comprehensive program, typically running from June through July, specifically from Monday, June 22, 2020, to Friday, August 14, 2020, is designed for approximately 60 to 70 participants aged five to thirteen (K-6th grade), with daily camp hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This solicitation was conducted as a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq. Prospective contractors must meet stringent minimum qualifications to be considered. Firms are required to fully comply with the regulations outlined in N.J.S.A 26:12-1 and N.J.A.C. 8:25-1.1. A critical requirement is possessing at least five (5) years of documented experience in successfully administering and operating Summer Youth Camp Programs. The selected firm must designate qualified supervisory personnel who will be consistently present throughout the entire camp duration to represent the firm's interests. The Borough explicitly stated it assumes no responsibility for late proposals and would return them unopened. Required proposal contents included evidence of meeting minimum qualifications, names and roles of personnel with similar project experience, references and a record of success, a description of the ability to provide timely services, detailed cost specifics including individual camper rates and family discounts, a list of public clients, and a narrative statement demonstrating understanding of the Borough's needs.
