Horse Hill Road and Saddle Road Drainage Improvement Project

The Township of Hanover, located in Morris County, New Jersey, is soliciting sealed bids for the "HORSE HILL ROAD AND SADDLE ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT." This significant infrastructure upgrade focuses on enhancing the drainage systems along Horse Hill Road and Saddle Road. The comprehensive scope of work includes the installation of various types and sizes of reinforced concrete pipes, specifically 249 linear feet of 24-inch diameter Reinforced Concrete Pipe (Class IV), 79 linear feet of 54-inch diameter Reinforced Concrete Pipe (Class IV), and 85 linear feet of 38-inchx60-inch Elliptical Reinforced Concrete Pipe (Class IV). Prospective contractors must demonstrate compliance with several mandatory State Statutes of New Jersey, including the Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.), Prevailing Wage Rates (Chapter 150, L. 1963; N.J.S.A. 34:11-56 et. seq.), and Mandatory Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Language (N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27). Furthermore, bidders must adhere to "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act" (P.L. 1999, c. 238) and possess a valid "State of New Jersey Business Registration Certificate" (P.L. 2004 c. 57). Bid documents, approved by the Township Committee, are available for inspection and purchase for a non-refundable fee of $100.00 from the Township Engineer's office. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certificate of Surety guaranteeing a performance bond for the full bid amount, a Non-Collusion Affidavit, and a Certified Check or Bid Bond equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid, with a maximum requirement of $20,000.00 and a minimum of $500.00.
