Construction of upgrades and improvements to Hausser Avenue, Bennett
Place, and Prospect Drive in Hightstown Borough for an awarded construction
value of $755,759.40 were financed by the New Jersey Water Bank (NJWB).
The NJWB is a State Revolving Fund program jointly administered by the
New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the New
Jersey Infrastructure Bank (NJIB) and uses a combination of funds provided
by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the DEP, and the
NJIB to provide very low interest loans to borrowers for environmental
infrastructure projects.
This project will provide water quality benefits by reducing maintenance costs
and increasing the efficiency of the distribution system for residents and
businesses in Hightstown Borough.
State Revolving Fund programs around the nation provide states and
communities the resources necessary to maintain and improve the
infrastructure protecting our valuable water resources nationwide.

Hausser Avenue, Bennett Place and Prospect Drive

Please be advised that Black Rock Enterprises, LLC was contracted by the Borough of Hightstown, for the project “Improvements to Hausser
Avenue, Bennett Place and Prospect Drive”. The following improvements on your street may include: drainage, water main, sewer main,
curbs, sidewalk, milling and paving
This work is scheduled to begin on or about May 30, 2023, weather permitting. Homeowners will be notified separately prior to temporary loss
of water.
During this time, we ask that you not park any vehicles on the street between the hours of 7am and 5pm. During concrete curb, sidewalks,
driveways, and/or aprons installation driveway accessibility will be interrupted for 72 hours for proper concrete curing after replacement,
please find alternate parking. Furthermore, it is all resident’s responsibility to clearly identify the sprinkler systems near the concrete
curb/sidewalk.
This letter serves as notice and to make you aware of these construction undertakings, and the progression of the project. We emphasize
caution, safety, and please be mindful of the surrounding construction equipment and the irregular and unusual site conditions.
Please pardon the interruption and we would like to thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation. If you should have any
questions pertaining to this project, please contact the Borough engineer Carmela Roberts at Roberts Engineering Group on regular business
hours 9am-5pm at 609-586-1141. Additionally, please do not ask the employees on site any questions, as they may not know all the project
details. Thank you for your cooperation.
