The City of Hoboken is announcing a public hearing for the new construction of the Maritime Park located at 901 Sinatra Drive and a portion of 9 Castle Point Terrace. This project, spanning approximately eight acres, involves creating a public park with new recreational facilities, a community building, piers, and natural areas designed to enhance resilience to coastal flooding. The redevelopment will transform the former Union Dry Dock industrial site and existing skate park into a permanent waterfront park featuring a new skatepark, flexible lawn area, nature playground, community building, plazas, a learning pier, a maritime pier, an expanded beach, and a tidal marsh. Public comments on the change of use are invited during the hearing or in writing to the Department of Environmental Services. Planning documents are available for review at the City Clerk's Office.
