ADDENDUM TO RFP DOCUMENTS
RFP – 24 – 05 - Competitive Contracting-Integrated Pest Management Services This Addendum # 1 dated February 13, 2024, is issued to modify the above-mentioned RFP, and is hereby made part of the RFP documents. Please attach this Addendum #1 to the original documents in your possession and ensure same is included in your proposal. This addendum includes:
Q1. Do you have a list of the hot spot areas for the 740 sewer inlet areas, along with the 28- rain garden, bioswale, and planted areas?
A1. The hotspots will change throughout the duration of the contract based on rodent activity.

Q2. Do you have the footage for these locations, for the Integrated Pest Management Services?

A2. All parks should be treated using an IPM approach based on activity.
*Harborside Park -1501 Park Ave is being removed from the service locations in the specifications.
Q3. We understand that the current pest control provider is currently servicing the Hoboken account
2 times per month. Should we continue to provide 2 times per month service and pricing?
A3. A service schedule should be prepared based on the findings from the initial inspections10 days
after the award of contract. A list of locations are listed in Section 2 “City Facilities and
Locations”.
A plan of action specific for each location shall be included in the report. The report should
include a schedule of treatment determined by the level of pest activity specific to each location.
Pest Activity shall be documented and reported by number of burrow(s) found and treated, type of
treatment recommended to be used, number of bait stations required, identify
problem areas and any equipment, landscape features, or management practices that are contributing
to pest infestations.
Q4. During the walk thru inspection today, Mike from Hoboken was unsure what exactly is being done
with the sewer inlets, all 740 inlets. Can you please provide us with more specifics on what
services exactly are being performed and how often the sewer inlets are being serviced?
A4. The RFP calls for monthly assessment of these inlets and treatment for rodent control should be
based on an as needed basis based on the findings from the assessment. Please provide the link
below which shows all catch basins.

Q5. Will the contractor vendor be able to take over/convert the existing rodent control that is in
place?
A5. The contractor vendor will be responsible for the full contract as described in the specs in
the RFP. Any prior rodent control will be discontinued.
Q6. Is there a fee for submitting the proposal? We do not see an amount listed on the RFP. A6. No
fee.
Q7. When we submit the original, copy and digital format of the proposal, is email sufficient for
the digital or is this supposed to be on a flash drive?
A7. We cannot accept email digital proposals. Please submit the digital proposal via USB.
Q8. Can you provide specifics on the sewer inlet treatments? This includes all information around
frequency, application, and process.
A8. As noted in the RFP, this is specific to rodents. The winning vendor will need to provide a
plan of action as well as a schedule for treatments based on the level of activity found during
inspections.
Q9. Can you tell me if it's all once monthly service?
A9. An inspection should be conducted on a monthly basis, but treatments will vary based on the
level of rodent activity.
Q10. What days is the technician currently servicing and how long is the current service taking?
A10. Bi-weekly but varies depending on the activity.
This addendum is posted on the City of Hoboken website to ensure compliance. The City will not accept any further RFI/questions at this time.
There are no other changes to the RFP documents as part of this addendum.
