RFP - 2024 Real Estate Appraiser

The Borough of Kenilworth is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for a Real Estate Appraiser for the 2024 contract period, commencing no sooner than January 1, 2024, and terminating no later than December 31, 2024. The selected appraiser will represent the Borough in real estate appraisals, defend tax appeals, prosecute counterclaims, and attend meetings as needed. Proposers must be a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and a licensed appraiser in New Jersey with a minimum of five years of experience representing municipalities in tax appeals. Sealed proposals, clearly marked “2024 Real Estate Appraiser,” were due on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., prevailing time. Proposals had to be submitted with required documentation, including a Submission Form/Qualification Statement, ownership disclosure, a non-collusion affidavit, EEO/Affirmative Action evidence, and an insurance requirement acknowledgement form, among other items. Proposals had to be delivered in hand to the Qualified Purchasing Agent at the Borough Hall, and vendors were urged to verify the completeness of their submissions using the provided checklist.
