New Solid Waste Procedures
The following items are collected at curbside and at the Recycling Center.

Metal and E- Waste are NOT Considered Bulk. Please, Do Not Put Out Any Metal or E –
Waste Items. Instead, Bring These Items To Our Recycling Facility.
*** All Construction Related Material Must be disposed of privately. Examples:
Dumpsters, Morris County MUA (973) 808-9651 or Skytop Recycling (973) 728-4444.
*** Large, Non-Metal items such as furniture, carpet, scrap wood (must be tied) and
other large odd & ends ARE bulk and should be put out for curbside bulk collection.
Solid Waste And Recycling Information
*Please be advised that all collections begin at 6:00 am
GARBAGE & RECYCLABLES MUST BE AT THE CURB BY THIS TIME
* Recyclables must not be placed at the curb in plastic bags.
* The largest size container allowed for Garbage and Recyclables is 35 gallons, maximum
50 lbs as per Borough Code. Any Solid Waste or Recycling in larger containers will not be
collected. DO NOT OVERFILL CONTAINERS; one person must be able to lift and
dump container.
Garbage and Recyclables will be collected RAIN or SHINE. In the event of SNOWFALL
or FLOODING conditions, collection may be cancelled until your next scheduled date.
** Reminder there is no parking on roadways covered with snow, per Ordinance 84-22**
Whenever snow has fallen & accumulation is such that it covers the streets or highways,
creating a condition that requires salt or plowing, it shall be deemed that unsafe weather
condition exists. Vehicles shall be prohibited from parking on any street or highway
portions thereof. The declaration of such weather condition shall remain in effect until
after snowfall ceases & the street or highway in question has been plowed sufficiently & to
the extent that parking will not interfere with normal flow of traffic.

Recycling Center Guidelines
The Following Is A List Of All Items That Are
Acceptable At The Recycling Center:
• Newspaper – Stack neatly or tie in 1’ or 2’ bundles
• Motor Oil – Empty your waste oil in appropriately
marked container
• Anti-Freeze – Bring to Recycling Center
• Ferrous Scrap – Washers, dryers, tire rims, all steel items.
• Non-Ferrous – Aluminum (not cans) copper, brass, lead
• Batteries – Car & truck (Household batteries may be disposed of in your
garbage)
• Leaves, Brush & Logs – Empty your container of yard waste into
appropriate Area, no bags are to be left on leaf pile.
• Commingled & Paper C/C – Please see Solid Waste Procedures.
• E – Waste – Computers, TV’s, radios, etc.
Disposal Fee Of The Following Items:
Refrigerators, Propane Tanks,
Air conditioners & Dehumidifiers $5.00
Car Tires $5.00
Truck Tires $7.00
Remove Tire From Rim
(Fee is to offset Borough cost)

Under no circumstances are rocks, stones, broken
Concrete or dirt allowed.
