both short and long term relief
with our Day Club.
OUR MISSION
Open Arms promotes the quality of life
and independence for older, frail adults
through health, social, and supportive
services.
We work with health professionals,
families, volunteers, churches, civic
organizations, and businesses that want
elders to age positively, safely, and with
dignity. We help families keep their loved
ones at home as long as possible to
delay or prevent placement in a nursing
home or assisted living facility. We enable
families to afford our services by
coordinating use of federal, state and
county programs.

Day Club
OUR MEMBERS: Many of our members have
varying levels of physical and cognitive
challenges such as: Alzheimer's, Parkinson's,
Diabetes, and Osteoporosis. Other clients
are isolated and lonely while their loved
ones are working during the day.
MEMBER PROGRAMS: Tai Chi, seated
aerobics, pet
therapy, spa day,
bowling, painting,
ceramics, balloon
volleyball, podiatry
services, brain gym,
movies, Bingo,
entertainment and much more. Our
members can enjoy these engaging
activities or simply prefer to read or relax in
a comfortable setting.
DAILY SCHEDULE
8-10:30am-Breakfast & Cognitive Activities
10:30-12:00pm-Physical and Cognitive
12:00-Lunch
Orientation
12:45-1:30-Rest (Movies or word puzzles)
1:30-3:00-Exercise our brains and body
3:00-Closing-Table Games
Special Programs including presentation by
Hunterdon County Parks Department and
crowd pleasing entertainers.

Open Arms evaluates our
members needs through
discussions with family
members and a
questionnaire. We assess
both the members
cognitive and physical
abilities. We also take
into account their likes
and dislikes so as to
incorporate suitable cognitive and physical
stimulation. This allows us to develop an
individualized care plan to meet those
needs. Once your loved one is admitted
into the program we will continue to keep in
touch on a regular basis. This ensures that
you are kept up-to-date of any changes.

are NOW OFFERING DROP-IN SERVICE. You can drop your loved
one off and they will have a fun filled day. We offer stimulating activities in
