NOTICE TO BIDDERS - RE-BID
LEASING OF ONE (1) CONCESSION STAND: BATH AVENUE, ALONG THE BOARDWALK, CITY OF LONG BRANCH, COUNTY OF MONMOUTH, AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY
BID:
Leasing of one (1) Concession Stand at Bath Avenue, along the City owned and operated public bathing beaches and the boardwalk, Monmouth County, Long Branch, New Jersey.
METHOD OF BIDDING:
Sealed Bidding
DATE, TIME, PLACE OF BID:
Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11 am prevailing time
at the Long Branch Municipal Building, Second Floor, Council Chambers, 344 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ.
MINIMUM BID:
$6,000.00 (six thousand dollars) per beach season (year).
INSPECTION OF PREMISES:
It is highly recommended prospective bidders inspect the premises prior to bidding on this lease. Call the City’s Purchasing Office at 732-571-5656 during regular business hours to arrange for an appointment with the City’s Building Supervisor to view the premises.
TERM OF LEASE:
The term of the lease shall be for two years with an option of a third year (beach seasons) and shall run from April 1st through September 30th of each year for 2024,2025 and 2026. However, the City reserves the right to cancel this lease at the end of any beach season. In the event that the City intends to exercise this right, it will provide written notification to the lessee at least 60 days prior to the start of the next beach season of its intent to do so.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
A copy of the resolution setting forth the complete terms and conditions of the lease, and a copy of the bid documents that must be completed by the successful bidder, and are available in the Purchasing Office, Municipal Building, 344 Broadway, Long Branch, New Jersey, 07740, or call 732-571-5656. The bid documents will also be available at the City’s website, www.longbranch.org.
The successful bidder must provide Bid Security, in the form of cash or certified check, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, except that the securities not exceed $20,000, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. Failure to provide the Bid Security as specified will result in rejection of the bid. The bid security will be held by the City until the successful bidder has executed the lease documents, and provided the required insurance certificates and paid the first installment of the annual rent.
