Recycle Your Old Fridge or Freezer
Through June 30, 2025, claim $150 rebate for each old, working
fridge or freezer you recycle plus $50 rebate for dehumidifiers or

Install ultra-efficient EnergyStar® certified heating, cooling and hot

estimate by calling 1-800-539-7734. Flexible payment options.
Whole Home Energy Assessments
Schedule an in-home certified energy efficiency adviser, providing
you with expert advice on how to save on energy costs.
Whole Home Energy Solutions
Schedule an energy assessment with a participating contractor, for
an in-depth review of your home’s health, air quality, HVAC and
water heater efficiency and receive discounts on EE work.
Home Weatherization
Income-qualified customers are eligible for weatherization
through Whole Home Energy Solutions to receive professional
advice and basic upgrades that can reduce your energy use.
Comfort Partners
Income-qualified customers are eligible for a home energy
assessment and expert advice from an energy efficiency advisor,
plus receive certain energy-saving products at no cost.
Worry Free Protection Plans
Obtain affordable options for household repairs, covered parts and
labor with PSE&G and receive Buyer’s Edge discounts.
PSE&G Community Solar
Allows PSE&G customers to participate in solar energy and credit
on their electricity bills for their share of clean energy.
Electric Vehicle Programs

Get Help Paying Your Bill
Description
Payment Assistance Programs
PSE&G describes the existing payment assistance programs.
This DCA brochure also explains these programs.
NJ 211
This Home Energy Assistance (HEA) Hotline helps low-income
residents with information about their heating and cooling bills.
LIHEAP
A Federal program where income-qualified customers receive
support for heating bills and medically necessary cooling costs.
Universal Service Fund (USF)
& Fresh Start Program (FSP)
Income-qualified customers can receive a USF credit toward their
bills. Customers who apply for USF will be screened for FSP.
SHARES Energy Assistance Grants
This links to the three assistance programs under SHARES.
NJBPU Pay Assistance Gas and Electric
(PAGE)
Income-qualified customers may apply for PAGE and SMART
Utility, after first completing the LIHEAP/USF application process.
SMART Utility Assistance
Review guidelines — Income-qualified customers who have been
denied support from LIHEAP/USF may be eligible for SHARES
Energy Assistance.
SHARES Energy Assistance
Review guidelines — Income-qualified grants for electric service
or home heating source — must also complete LIHEAP app.
NJ Lifeline for Seniors and Disabled Adults NJ Lifeline is a $225 yearly electric or gas bill credit for seniors or
disabled adults.
Deferred Payment Arrangement (DPA)
A DPA sets up regular monthly installment payments towards your
remaining balance to bring your account up to date.
Equal Payment Plan
This establishes predictability to your monthly energy bill to smooth
out peaks, subject to a yearly true-up.
