Roadway Paving
On Friday, May 29, 2026 (weather permitting)
, the above noted roads will be paved. The roads will be closed during this work, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Please be advised that access to the road and/or residential driveways during this work WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
Any vehicles that will require access out of the driveways must be removed by 7:00 AM.
In addition, buses, deliveries, garbage and recycling pickups, landscaping vehicles, etc.,
will not
be provided with access to the road during this time.
Please be advised that up to two (2) hours prior to paving operations, asphalt tact will be applied. Asphalt tact is a requirement for the surface matt of asphalt to properly adhere to the road bed, which increases the life span of the newly placed asphalt. Traveling along the tacked surface with your vehicles or walking on the tacked surface will adversely affect your car, your property and your pets by adhering to the tires of your vehicles, the soles of your shoes, and the paws of your pets. The contractor will not be responsible for repair to your property or injury to your pets. Please park outside the limits of the project during this work until the road is re-opened to traffic.
This work is funded by the Township of Mahwah and a Bergen County Community Development Block Grant.
Any questions or specific concerns you may have can be addressed by contacting the Township Engineer, Michael J. Kelly, P.E., at (201) 529-5757 extension 255 or
