Revised Notice of Introduction Ordinance 26-01

Neptune Township has issued a revised public notice for Ordinance 26-01, which proposes to exceed municipal budget appropriation limits and establish a Cap Bank for Calendar Year 2026. This ordinance would increase the allowed budget appropriation to 3.5% in compliance with the Local Government Cap Law. The ordinance was initially introduced and passed on first reading by the Township Committee on January 12, 2026. A previously scheduled public hearing on January 26, 2026, was cancelled due to inclement weather. A public hearing for final passage of Ordinance 26-01 is now scheduled for February 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Neptune Township Municipal Complex. All interested parties are invited to attend, provide input, and ask questions. Copies of the ordinance are available for public review in the Clerk’s Office.
