Notice of Introduction Ordinance 26-01

The Township of Neptune has introduced Ordinance 26-01, a measure designed to increase the allowed Calendar Year 2026 budget increase to 3.5% in accordance with the Local Government Cap Law (N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-45.14) and to establish a Cap Bank. This ordinance aims to exceed the municipal budget appropriation limits for the upcoming fiscal year. The ordinance was initially introduced and passed on its first reading by the Township Committee on January 12, 2026. A public hearing and final passage are scheduled for a Regular Meeting of the Township Committee to be held on January 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Neptune Township Municipal Complex. All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting to provide input. Copies of the full ordinance are available for review at the Clerk's Office during normal business hours.
