Re-post Alternate Prosecutor Request for Proposals 2026

The Township of Neptune is soliciting proposals for Alternate Prosecutor Professional Services for the 2026 calendar year, utilizing a fair and open process. The selected attorney will provide necessary legal counsel and prosecute cases before the Township's Municipal Court, with the contract award contingent upon the Township's certification of available funds. This opportunity is open to licensed New Jersey attorneys with significant experience in representing public entities in municipal, criminal, or quasi-criminal matters, as well as relevant litigation experience. Key proposal requirements include a draft professional services contract, a proposed fee schedule outlining hourly rates and/or a flat monthly fee with a total "Not to Exceed" amount, detailed qualifications, experience, and references for the firm and its personnel. Respondents must demonstrate their ability to meet the Township's needs in a timely and effective manner. All proposals must be submitted to William Bray, Neptune Township Clerk, at 25 Neptune Blvd., Neptune, NJ 07753. The submission deadline is December 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Proposals require one original, one physical copy, and one electronic version on a disk or flash drive.
