Revised Notice of Introduction Ordinance 26-01

The Township of Neptune is considering Ordinance 26-01, which aims to exceed the municipal budget appropriation limits and establish a Cap Bank, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-45.14. The ordinance seeks to increase the allowed CY 2026 budget increase to 3.5% under the Local Government Cap Law. The ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading on January 12, 2026. It will be further considered for final passage after a public hearing scheduled for February 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Neptune Township Municipal Complex. Copies of the full ordinance or summary will be available for public review at the Clerk’s Office and posted on the public bulletin board.
