BOROUGH OF NEW PROVIDENCE
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
FIREWORKS
The Borough of New Providence is seeking written proposals for 2026 Fireworks, for a term
from April through December 2026. The following list includes, but is not limited to, a general
overview expected of the program.
General:
The vendor shall serve our provider of fireworks services, and shall include:
• Vendor shall have a minimum of ten years’ experience in delivering fireworks in New
Jersey. A listing of prior experience with agency contact information shall be provided
with the bid submission.
• The vendor shall be responsible for providing all materials and equipment for the event.
• Any damages to the facility caused by the vendor will result in charges deducted from
final payment.
• The Borough of New Providence reserves the right to cancel events, dates, and/or times
and/or to alter the schedule at its discretion.
Invoices:
• Invoices must be submitted to the Borough Administrator within 30 days of the date the
event occurs

In addiƟon to the arrayal lisƟng, the vendor must meet all GSMJIF requirements.
The vendor shall be responsible for:
• The Uniform Fire Code ApplicaƟon for Permit
• CerƟficate of insurance $5,000,000 each occurrence, $10,000,000 general aggregate,
$6,000,000 products/completed operaƟons aggregate.
• AtestaƟon to comply with the Division of Fire Safety in the State of NJ in Accordance
with NFPA 1123, 1124 and NJAC 5:70-F-3100.
• Hold Harmless Agreement with the following limits:
o Workers Comp/Employers Liability:
o General Liability: $1,000,000
o Automobile Liability: $5,000,000
o Umbrella Liability: $5,000,000
• Map to be submited for fire inspecƟon.
• Borough of New Providence Fire Safety Permiƫng
All requirements for the GSMJIF/Insurance may be changed based on state statutes. The vendor
shall be responsible for securing all necessary Permits, ApplicaƟons, Insurances, and Hold
Harmlessness required by the Borough of New Providence, the GSMJIF, the State of New Jersey
or any other governmental agency.
The vendor shall agree to make any weather determinaƟon by 1:30pm on July 3, 2026.
Any weather-related changes or cancellaƟons will be made up on the next clear evening
following July 4, 2026.
Proposals should be submited to Bernadete Cuccaro via email at bcuccaro@newprov.us, or
hard copy at 360 Elkwood Avenue, New Providence, NJ 07974 by 10:00 am prevailing Ɵme,
Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Proposals must contain full vendor contact informaƟon, completed
Vendor Response Form, page 3 of this RFP, including a detailed descripƟon of all costs with
breakdown if applicable, as well as any addiƟonal documentaƟon to provide full informaƟon
and descripƟon of proposed program, and NJ State Contract or approved New Jersey
cooperaƟve pricing system contract number and Vendor number if applicable.
The Borough may or may not award a contract as a result of this Request for Proposal and
reserves the right to pursue alternaƟve procurement methods pursuant to Local Public
Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. MulƟple contract awards may be made as a result of
this RFP. Contracts will be awarded with a “not-to-exceed” amount to be determined by the
Borough. The awarded not-to-exceed amount does not guarantee the full amount will be
expended during the term of the contract. In the event all proposals result in cost/s in excess of
the Borough’s current bid threshold without NJ State Contract or approved New Jersey
cooperaƟve pricing system contract, no contract will be awarded and the Borough will be
required to formally bid this offering if the Borough chooses to proceed.
If awarded, successful vendor will be required to provide a current completed IRS Form W-9,
and comply with the requirements of any and all applicable Federal, State and local laws,
regulaƟons and requirements, including but not limited to: N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C.
17:27 (AffirmaƟve AcƟon); 42 USC S12101 et seq. (Americans w/ DisabiliƟes Act); N.J.S.A. 52:32-
44 (Business RegistraƟon), and any subsequent amendments thereto; and the Borough’s
adopted minimum standard insurance requirements on page 4.

The program offerings that are selected by the Borough of New Providence from responses to
this RFP will be scheduled at the discreƟon of the Borough and subject to facility availability
between April 1, 2026 and December 31,2026. Should the Borough desire to schedule addiƟonal
events, the scheduling of addiƟonal program session/s may be offered if agreed to by the vendor
below at the rates submited in response to this RFP. Check yes or no.
