Plans, specifications, and all contract documents are made available for public inspection at Boswell Engineering, located at 330 Phillips Avenue, South Hackensack, New Jersey 07606, during business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday. A non-refundable fee of $10.00 is required to obtain a digital copy on a USB flash drive.
Sealed bids must be submitted no later than July 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, to the Borough of North Haledon, Municipal Building, 103 Overlook Avenue, North Haledon, New Jersey 07508, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Each bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond, equivalent to a minimum of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, not exceeding $20,000.00, made payable to the Owner as a guarantee. The awarded contractor will be required to provide both a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid, along with all specified insurance policies or certificates. Corporations not chartered in New Jersey must present a certificate authorizing them to conduct business within the state. All bids will remain irrevocable and valid for a period of sixty (60) days, with the Borough reserving the right to reject any and all bids or to waive informalities.
