Screening of Equipment or Machinery

This document is a regulatory notice from the City of Ocean City regarding Zoning Ordinance 25-1700.26.1, which mandates the screening of exterior equipment or machinery. It is not an active bid or Request for Proposal for a project or service. The ordinance requires that machinery, motors, generators, or similar devices placed outside or on top of structures must be screened from public view. Property owners are required to guarantee compliance with these screening requirements prior to final inspection by the Zoning Office, with failure resulting in a zoning violation. Approved screening methods include densely planted evergreen shrubs along with a solid screening element such as a uniform fence or masonry wall at least five feet in height, extensions of parapet walls or mansard roof lines, or other similar solid and uniform structural or ornamental screens.
