Lead Line Replacement Survey

The Borough of Ogdensburg is requesting its water customers to complete a survey as part of a state-mandated lead line replacement plan. This initiative, which was initially communicated in December 2023, aims to gather essential data on existing water service line materials within the municipality. Customers are asked to complete either an online survey or a paper version, providing personal details, property information (Block and Lot, year built), and crucially, the material composition of their water service line (e.g., copper, lead, galvanized steel, plastic, unknown). A photograph of the service line connecting to the meter is also requested. Completed paper surveys should be returned to Borough Hall via mail or placed in the designated drop-off box. This survey represents the initial phase of a borough-wide data collection effort. While it is preferred to provide all requested information and a photo, customers are encouraged to complete the survey to the best of their ability, as the Borough will contact individuals directly if further information is required.
