Lead Abatement and Lead Remediation Contractor Services

The City of Plainfield is actively seeking Request for Proposals and Qualifications from highly qualified contractors to provide essential Lead Abatement and Lead Remediation Contractor Services. This critical procurement initiative aims to secure experienced and certified professionals capable of performing comprehensive lead hazard identification, abatement, encapsulation, and remediation activities across various municipal properties and programs. The scope of work encompasses all necessary services to mitigate lead-based paint hazards and other lead contamination, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations, thereby protecting the health and well-being of Plainfield residents. Prospective contractors are required to demonstrate strict adherence to several New Jersey statutes, including but not limited to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (Disclosure of Ownership), N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (Affirmative Action Compliance/EEO), N.J.S.A. 52:32-55 (Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran), and 42 U.S.C. S12101 et seq. (Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990). While specific project experience and licensing requirements will be detailed within the full specifications package, respondents are expected to possess the necessary expertise and certifications for specialized lead abatement and remediation work. No mandatory pre-bid meetings or site visits are indicated in this public announcement. Completed proposals must be delivered to the City of Plainfield no later than 11:00 AM prevailing time on Friday, June 5th, 2026. Submissions must be sealed and prominently marked on the exterior with "Lead Abatement and Lead Remediation Contractor Services," then mailed or hand-delivered to the Office of the City Clerk, Attn: Cynthia Blake, QPA, City Hall, 515 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07060.
