The Borough of Red Bank is seeking a creative and community-minded mural artist to design and install a mural inside Borough Hall, located at 90 Monmouth Street.
This public art initiative will celebrate the diversity of our community and enhance the civic space through inclusive, thoughtful, and engaging artwork.
Project Overview
• Location:
Interior wall at Borough Hall, 90 Monmouth Street, Red Bank, NJ
• Dimensions:
Approximately 7 feet high x 10 feet wide. A chair rail divides the wall horizontally.
• Theme:
“We Are Red Bank” – The mural should reflect the cultural, ethnic, and generational diversity that defines the Borough of Red Bank.
• Interactive Element:
The mural should incorporate an element that allows for public engagement, such as a spot for people to pose for photos or tag themselves on social media platforms.
• Maintenance:
Artist will be required to maintain and touch up mural for 18 months after completion, if determined by the Borough.
Project Budget
• Supplies:
Up to $300 (reimbursable upon submission of receipts)
• Artist Stipend:
Up to $700 for labor (to be paid upon completion of the mural)

El Municipio de Red Bank busca un artista muralista creativo y comprometido con la comunidad para diseñar e instalar un mural en el interior del Ayuntamiento, ubicado en 90 Monmouth Street.
Esta iniciativa de arte público busca celebrar la diversidad de nuestra comunidad y embellecer el espacio cívico mediante una obra inclusiva, reflexiva y atractiva.

Dimensiones:

• Conceptual sketch or rendering of the proposed mural
• Description of the materials and method of installation
• A brief explanation of how the mural incorporates the theme “We Are Red Bank” and includes an interactive element
• Examples of previous mural or public art work (if available)

All proposals must be submitted electronically by Monday, June 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM to:

All mural proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the Borough’s Community Engagement & Equity Committee, which will select the artist whose concept best embodies the spirit of Red Bank and the project objectives.
