NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed Bids will be received by the Village of Ridgewood, in the Courtroom, Level 4 of Village Hall, 131 North Maple Avenue,
Ridgewood, New Jersey 07450 on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM prevailing time, at which time and place they
will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following project.
BID NO. 2025-001
BANK STABILIZATION FOR 20-INCH DIP WATER MAIN
The work of the Contract shall be to stabilize approximately 300 linear feet of stream bank along Village of Ridgewood
Dunham Trail to provide adequate cover and protection for an existing 20-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main, as needed
and described in the contract specifications.
Bid Packages may be obtained electronically by sending an email request to rwbids@ridgewoodnj.net, after which the Bid
Documents will be emailed to the prospective bidder. Bidders interested in obtaining hard copies of the Bid Package may
do so in person from the offices of Ridgewood Water, 111 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood, New Jersey 07450, Monday
through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, upon payment of a non-refundable fee in the amount of ten
dollars ($10) per set, cash or check payable to “Ridgewood Water.”
No Bid Packages shall be given out after 4:30 PM on April 29, 2025. All prospective bidders must be on record of having
requested the Bid Package either electronically (via email) or in person (via sign-in sheet) to be permitted to bid on the
Contract.
There will be MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING held at the project location at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Bid
Proposals will only be accepted from Contractors that attend the Pre-Bid Meeting.
Bids may be submitted prior to the Bid Opening in person or by mail, addressed to the Office of the Village Clerk, Village
Hall, 131 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood, New Jersey 07450. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the
name of the bidder thereon and endorsed, “BID responding to BID NO. 2025-001 – BANK STABILIZATION FOR 20-
INCH DIP WATER MAIN. Do Not Open Until April 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM” and must be accompanied by all required
forms.
Ridgewood Water and The Village of Ridgewood assume no responsibility for loss or non-delivery of any bid sent to it prior
to the Bid Opening. Bids must include and be submitted on all required Forms in the Bid Package; no other forms will be
accepted. Prices quoted must be net and exclusive of all Federal, State and Local Sales and Excise Taxes.
Any award or awards may be made at a later or subsequent time or meeting of the Village Council. The contractual
obligation of Ridgewood Water under this Contract for these items is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds
from which payment for this Contract can be made.
The Village of Ridgewood reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or to accept a bid which, in its
judgment best serves the interest of the Village. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and
time set for the opening of bids. Award or rejection of bids will be made within this period.
All Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond and all applicable surety bonds required in connection with the advertisement
and award of building contracts or subagreements must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List
(Department Circular 570 – Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds), incorporated herein by reference.
Proposals submitted by Bidders and/or Bidder's Insurance Companies not chartered in the State of New Jersey, must be
accompanied by proper certificate(s) from the Secretary of State, indicating that such Bidders, Bidder's Insurance
Companies, and/or Surety Companies are authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 (P.L 1975, c.127) and N.J.A.C 17:27-1 et seq.
regarding Affirmative Action, and Executive Order No. 11246 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. A
complete statement as to these requirements is included in the contract documents.
