Bowling Trips: NO SANDALS ALLOWED. Socks & Sneakers are required on this day; however, bowling shoes
are required for any sneaker without a white sole. There is a snack stand at the bowling alley, but we will eat
lunch before we go. If you would like to send your child with a few extra dollars for a small purchase – this is
optional. The limited menu that they can purchase from will be sent out in a separate email. There are arcade
games and little toy dispensing machines at the bowling alley – Summer Rec Staff are NOT responsible for any
purchases your child makes while at the bowling alley.
Ice Skating: Your child will need to wear socks (preferably long socks like soccer socks) on this day and will
either want to wear pants or bring pants to pull on over their shorts. Think “warm” for the ice so send gloves
and maybe a hat and a sweatshirt/jacket. You can send a bike helmet.
Movie Day: There is NO SNACK STAND open at the movies. They are given popcorn and a drink. We
will be going to see Elemental. We will eat lunch upon returning from the movies – please keep in mind
your child may not want a large lunch after eating popcorn at the movies.
DEFY Trampoline Park: If you have not been to DEFY (formally Rockin’ Jump in 2023) yet,
you will need to go to their website and fill out a waiver. Socks are included in our price.
We will eat lunch upon return.
Miniature Golf: Willowbrook Golf has vending machines and a small ice cream freezer style vending
area. We will eat lunch upon returning to the Community Center.
Funplex: This is an indoor game and ride facility. Your child can bring a bagged lunch or
purchase lunch at the snack stand; however, prices are higher like amusement park pricing so
please be sure to send your child with enough money. A $5 Fun Card for the arcade is
included with our ticket purchase so your child will have “arcade money”. We DO NOT do the
water park portion of Funplex.
LAST DAY OF REC BBQ: There will be Hamburgers and Hot Dogs served on this day. If your child does not
like either of these, please send a bag lunch. There will also be inflatables and wet activities – children should
wear their swimsuit under their clothes on this day and bring a towel!

Discipline Policy
The Camp Staff will do their best to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all
camp participants. In order to do so, the cooperation of all participants is expected. It is
important that all Campers understand that inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated
in order for everyone to be safe and have the best possible experience.
Examples of unacceptable behavior include:
•
The failure to follow camp guidelines or to follow instructions that are given to
them by a camp counselor, supervisor or director. Leaving a program without
permission.
•
Actions which endanger the health or safety of the Camper or others.
•
Disrupting a program or refusing to participate in activities. Campers must
demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times while participating in activities.
•
Bullying behavior will not be tolerated. Campers must behave respectfully to their
counselors and supervisors, as well as fellow campers.
•
Stealing or damaging property.
•
Fighting of any kind.
•
Inappropriate physical contact such as hitting, punching, biting, spitting, pushing
and other forms of unwanted physical contact.
•
The use of profanity, vulgarity, or obscenity.
•
The use of illicit drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.
•
Sexual conduct of any kind.
Discipline Procedures. When a camper does not follow the behavior guidelines, we will
take the following action steps as behavior problems progress:
1. The first non-violent offense will result in a verbal reprimand.
2. The second non-violent offense will result in removal from the activity.
3. The third non-violent offense will result in parental notification and possible
suspension and/or removal from the program.
4. Any violent altercation will result in suspension for the day and/or removal from
the program. Removal from camp has, and will be, enforced. Violence towards
others will not be tolerated
Riverdale Recreation reserves the right to suspend or expel any camper from the
program who poses serious continual discipline problems, whether or not all of the
steps in our discipline procedure have been completed.
Refunds will not be issued for campers who have been removed from camp due to
disciplinary problems.

Please review this policy and these expectations with your Camper before
