Recycling

The Borough of Riverdale provides multiple recycling opportunities for residents. Curbside collection of standard recyclable items (paper, metal cans, glass, and plastics) occurs every Friday. Metal appliances and scrap metal are collected on the first Friday of each month, with specific instructions regarding appliance preparation. Non-standard items like tires and electronics can be dropped off at the Borough Depot on Dalton Drive, potentially incurring a fee for certain items. The Borough also hosts periodic free paper shredding and collection events for some non-standard recyclables. Plastic bags may be dropped off in a collection bin at the Borough Hall.
