RxAssist
An online database of pharmaceutical companies that offers patient assistance programs
providing free and/or low-cost medications. It also includes information on Medicare Part D and
other healthcare assistance resources. Eligibility varies by individual program requirements.
Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA)’s Medicine Assistance Tool (MAT)
is a search engine designed to help patients, caregivers and health care providers learn more
about the resources available through the various biopharmaceutical industry programs.

A non-profit that provides information on assistance programs to people who are unable to afford
their medications and health care costs. All the information is free, easy to access and updated
regularly. No registration is required, and they do not request any personal information.

A non-profit, digital-order pharmacy offering more than 1,000 medication doses at a reduced or no
cost to the patient. Eligibility depends ONLY on income, with income thresholds depending on the
number of financially dependent people in your household.

D), yearly deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments. You can apply for Extra Help any time before
or after you enroll in Part D.

A state-funded program that helps eligible seniors and individuals with disabilities save money on
their prescription drug costs. The federal Medicare Plan and/or PAAD will pay any costs above the
PAAD copayment of $5 for each covered generic drug or $7 for each covered brand name drug,
including premiums.
Eligibility requirements: (1) New Jersey resident; (2) age 65 years or older OR at least 18 years of age
and receiving Social Security Disability benefits; (3) meets income guidelines; (4) enrollment in
Medicare Part D if Medicare-eligible
Pharmaceutical Assistance for Aged & Disabled


New Jersey Prescription Savings Program      NJRxDiscountCard.com 
This program is open to all New Jersey residents. Every prescription
medication, including some pet medications, is eligible for a discount. 
Walmart Rx program      https://www.walmart.com/pharmacy
Walmart offers a supply of some commonly prescribed medications for
as low as $4 for a 30-day supply and $10 for a 90-day supply. The
program only includes generic forms of drugs.
AARP Prescription Discount
https://www.aarp.org/membership/benefits/health/rx-discounts-optumrx
 You can use the card on all FDA-approved medications including both
brand name and generic brands. The program also covers over-the-
counter medications with a doctor’s prescription. It is open to anyone,
but AARP members can get additional savings and services.
