BOROUGH OF SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS AMENDED HOUSING 
ELEMENT AND FAIR SHARE PLAN ADOPTION BY BOROUGH OF 
SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS LAND USE BOARD 
 
TAKE NOTICE that on March 11, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., a public hearing will be held before the 
Borough of Spring Lake Heights Land Use Board, the meeting will be held at the Municipal 
Building, 555 Brighton Avenue, Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey, to review and consider the 
adoption of the Amended Housing Element and Fair Share Plan Element of the Borough’s Master 
Plan.  
The Amended Housing Element and Fair Share Plan has been prepared in response to the New 
Jersey Legislature’s adoption of amendments to the Fair Housing Act, P.L. 2024, c.2, N.J.S.A. 
52:27D-301 et. seq., and the subsequent Program Decision Recommendation entered by the 
Court In the Matter of the Borough of Spring Lake Heights, Superior Court of New Jersey, Law 
Division-Monmouth County, Docket No MON-L-436-25 which establishes the Borough’s Fourth 
Round affordable housing obligation for the time period 2025-2035 at 68 affordable housing units, 
subject to a vacant land adjustment which establishes the Borough’s realistic development 
potential at 3 units and includes the implementation mechanisms to enable the Borough to satisfy 
its constitutional obligation to provide for its fair share of affordable housing for low and moderate-
income households within the housing region. Any interested party may appear at this hearing of 
the Land Use Board to provide public comment and participate therein in accordance with the 
rules of the Land Use Board. 
A copy of the Amended Housing Element and Fair Share Plan and any associated  will be on file 
at the Borough Municipal Building in the office of the Borough Clerk at the address noted above, 
and available for public inspection during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 
a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the hearing
