Bid Notice - City Hall HVAC Chiller Replacement - Receipt of Bids 4-23-19

The City of Summit is seeking sealed bids for the City Hall Air Conditioning Chiller Replacement Project. Bids are due by 11:00 A.M. prevailing time on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, and should be submitted to the Purchasing Agent at 512 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 10:00 am at the Department of Community Services, 512 Springfield Avenue, Summit, N.J., and attendance is strongly encouraged. The project specifications and proposal forms can be obtained from the Department of Community Services during regular business hours. A bid security is required, amounting to ten percent (10%) of the total bid, not to exceed $20,000, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, payable to the City of Summit. Bidders must comply with various New Jersey state laws, including the Prevailing Wage Act, Statement of Ownership Disclosure, Affirmative Action requirements, and Business Registration, as well as all other applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. The Common Council reserves the right to reject all bids, waive any minor defects, and consider bids for sixty (60) days after receipt, as per the Local Public Contracts Law.
