RFQ-Planning Board 2023 Professionals - Responses due 11-22-22

The City of Summit Planning Board is soliciting Qualification Statements from firms or organizations to provide Engineering, Planning, and Attorney Services for the board in 2023. The RFQ process is designed to identify qualified firms with the professional, financial, and administrative capabilities to provide these services. The Board will review Qualification Statements from firms that demonstrate the capability and willingness to provide high-quality services, agreeing to work under the Board's compensation terms and conditions. The anticipated approval of Professional Services Resolutions by the Board is scheduled for January 23, 2023, retroactive to January 1, 2023. Qualification Statements must be submitted by hand delivery or regular mail, along with an electronic copy, and received by the Board no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 22, 2022, at the address provided for the Designated Contact Person, Christopher Nicola, Land Use Assistant. The RFQ process is subject to the New Jersey Local Unit Pay-to-Play Law, N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq., and Respondents must agree to abide by all requirements of New Jersey law. Respondents must also include specific administrative and professional information as outlined in the RFQ document, including an executed Letter of Qualification, Letter of Intent, and Payment Conditions and Rate Schedules Form. Selected firms will be appointed to positions with no guarantee of work or compensation, but the Board will approve proposals for projects (including compensation terms) on an as-needed basis through resolutions. The RFQ provides specific hourly rate caps for various professional roles within each service category (Engineering, Planning, and Attorney), as well as reimbursement guidelines for expenses.
