2018 Union City Master Plan - ReExamination Report

This is a Master Plan Reexamination Report for Union City, as required by the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law. The report evaluates the local Master Plan and Development Regulations periodically to identify necessary updates and revisions. Adopted in March 2018, it serves as an amendment to the previous 2009 Master Plan. Key areas addressed include goals and objectives from the 2009 plan, changes in the City and surrounding areas since 2009, and recommended actions for the City to address land use and zoning issues that have emerged since the prior plan. Public participation was a critical component of the reexamination process, including public meetings held in February 2018.
