Union City Master Plan Goals

This document outlines the goals of the 2009 Union City Master Plan and the process for re-examining it. The plan seeks to balance land uses, encourage economic development, increase park and recreation facilities, accommodate community facilities, facilitate circulation, protect residential character, provide diverse housing choices, and improve the quality of life. A Master Plan Reexamination Report evaluates the goals and recommendations of the 2009 Master Plan, determines if they have been addressed, analyzes changes that have occurred throughout the City, region, and State that have an impact on the City’s land use policies, and makes new recommendations for the City as it continues to grow and progress. It also identifies areas that would benefit from redevelopment.
