The Voorhees Township Business Improvement Development Advisory Board (BID) convened to discuss the redevelopment of the Town Center Mall, particularly addressing the aftermath of a fire that occurred four months prior. The Township expressed dissatisfaction with Namdar, the mall landlord, citing delays in repairs and lack of cooperation. A proposal was presented for Architecture & Engineering Design for the Town Center Mall prepared by LAN Associates, Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Surveying, Inc. to assess the damage and provide a preliminary estimate of $82,591 for demolition. The board authorized this budget and plans to reconvene around September 27 to determine a complete remodeling construction budget, estimated to be around $500K, which could be applied to Namdar's property tax bill for the 1st Quarter of 2025 if repairs are not initiated promptly.
