Emergency Medical Services

The Township of West Orange is seeking proposals for Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This solicitation, originally published on January 22, 2014, has undergone several addenda. Addendum #3, issued on March 2, 2014, specifically moved the submission deadline from March 11, 2014, to April 16, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. This postponement was due to legal matters. The addenda also clarify details regarding call assignment, mutual aid, billing for special events, and the structure of the EMS arrangement, which will not have a "primary" or "secondary" unit system. Vendors must ensure their communications equipment is compatible with the Township's systems and that liability insurance proof is provided. The RFP is for BLS services, and any awarded vendor must enter into a bundle billing agreement with MONOC for ALS services.
